Bangkok has a lot of museums, exhibition halls and parks. The National Museum at Bangkok was initially the personal museum of King Rama IV. There is a collection of royal gifts and antiques. A few years later, King Rama V built the Concordia Tower in the Grand Palace grounds which is a Public Museum now.

The name Lumphini was given by the King in memory of Lord Buddha’s birthplace in India. The country’s first public library is situated here. This famous library houses about 30,000 books and manuscripts. They conduct regular book fairs and have a separate section for audio and visual educational materials.
There are many dive sites and islands within hours distance from Bangkok city. The facilities are world class and the service is superb. There are water sports agencies that will assist you.
